Todowing

Todoist shows sub-tasks flat in its date and filter views. Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension that nests them under their parent tasks in Today, Upcoming, Filters, Labels, and boards, up to four levels deep. Each sub-task row shows its due date, priority, and labels, and you can complete sub-tasks without opening the parent.

Free: up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task, seven color palettes, and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%.

Paid ($19.99 one-time, no subscription, 14-day refund): unlimited sub-task rows, adding, renaming, and reordering sub-tasks from the list, a hide-done toggle, focus sessions with time estimates, filing a task under a parent in another project, a font picker with about 50 Google Fonts, a notes pad above Today, and read-only Apple Calendar events in Today (up to five calendars). Future upgrades are included.

Todowing runs in the Todoist web app in Chrome on any Todoist plan. It does not run in the Todoist desktop app. Your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking. Todowing is not affiliated with Doist.
